I have an iPod. No, it is not filled with 10,000 songs, although it has that capability. I do have some of my favorites on it(Phantom of the Opera, The Carpenters, Rod Stewart, Josh Grobin, Bette Midler, etc.) - and NO, I can't believe I actually admitted to owning these CD's!
I download books on my iPod and listen to them at the gym and in the car. This is the BEST toy I ever had. I love the anonymity it affords me at the gym. I am there to keep a healthy heart - not to make small talk with retired school teachers. I pop in my ear buds and continue on my merry way, sweating and listening to books.
When I have the actual time to place a book in my hands and read, I AM THERE. Whereas this does not take the place of my reading in any way, it does allow me to enjoy many authors as my actual reading time is so limited that I only read my favorite authors.
This was one of the nicest presents I ever bought for myself!

I guess I beat you by one month. I got an MP3 player for our anniversary. I have downloaded my music, Ang did some and I actually did some myself. I have thought of putting some books on it but haven't done so yet.
